Privacy policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

Gramuscle is a protein tracker made by DasApps. This page explains what data the app uses, where it goes and how to delete it. In short: you sign in with Apple or Google, your food log is kept on your phone and backed up to your account on our server, photos and text you send for an estimate are not stored, and you can delete everything from the app.

Your account

Gramuscle needs an account so your log can be backed up and comes back on a new phone. You sign in with Apple or Google; we receive your account ID, your email address and, if you share it, your name. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email; Apple then gives us a private relay address. We use these only to sign you in and to keep your data with your account. We never sell them or use them for advertising.

Your log and its backup

Your log (what you ate, protein grams, times, the foods you eat often), your goal, body weight, units and AI consent are stored on your phone and backed up to your account on our server in Turkey (a server we rent; data is sent over an encrypted connection). A nightly copy of the server's data is encrypted on the server and stored with Google Drive for 30 days, so it can be recovered if the server fails; Google cannot read it. The backup is what lets you sign in on another phone and find your history there. Small meal thumbnails and your reminder settings stay on the phone only.

Photo, text and voice estimates

Logging a meal uses AI estimates, and the app asks for your permission first. With your permission:

You can turn AI estimates off at any time in Settings. Logging a meal needs them; your history stays available without them.

Usage limits

Our server counts how many estimates your account makes per day, to prevent abuse. These counters are deleted after two days, except a small count of the free estimates used during setup.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat, which receives your account ID and your purchase history so Premium can be checked. We never see your payment details.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, that an entry was saved or a screen was opened) and Firebase Crashlytics to fix crashes. These events do not include food names, your text, your photos, your email or your account ID in their parameters. The advertising ID is not collected. Firebase uses its own app-instance and installation IDs for these reports. We also use Firebase Remote Config and App Check to configure the app and protect our server.

Reminders

Reminders (lunch check-in, evening summary, trial ending) are scheduled on your phone. No push server is used.

Deleting your data

Settings → "Delete all my data" deletes your account, its backup on our server, your usage counters, your log, thumbnails and settings on the phone, cancels scheduled reminders and resets the analytics ID. Signing out removes the log from that phone (it stays in your backup until you delete it). Without the app, you can ask us to delete your account and its data: see Delete your account. The purchase record at RevenueCat stays, as it is needed to restore a subscription. To cancel a subscription, use your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

Children

Gramuscle is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Health information

Gramuscle gives nutrition estimates for general wellness. It is not medical advice. Talk to your doctor about your protein needs, especially if you take medication or have a kidney condition.
